The TechSAge Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC; is a collaborative grant center based at Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with involvement from other universities as well. TechSAge researchers are conducting a variety of research studies that focus on understanding the needs of, and developing supportive technologies for, older adults with a range of abilities and disabilities. We hope our research will ultimately make technology devices and services more usable and accessible and improve quality of life for older adults.

We maintain a registry of names of people who are interested in being contacted at some point in the future to be asked about participating in these research studies. Opportunities may include surveys, focus groups, interviews, technology evaluations, or other research projects. Depending on the study, you may be able to participate on the phone, online, on campus, at your home, or in other locations. Compensation varies by study. To join this registry, please fill out the following form.

This Registry is maintained by TechSAge and has been approved by the Institution Review Boards at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (IRB# 20662) and Georgia Institute of Technology (IRB# H20190).
